For sale here are custom made, handcrafted vintage vinyl record lamps. Using upcycled lamps found in second-hand stores, I create unique table and floor lamps with shades made from vintage vinyl records.
A unique way to celebrate a love of vintage vinyl records!
My lamps are each of a special and very unique design. They are all one-of-a-kind collectibles!!
First I find a lamp in a second hand store to reclaim and rebuild. Cost, make, and shapes will vary by whatever is currently available.
Based on what I find I design a unique lampshade using a variety of 7, 10 and 12 inch vintage vinyl records. Sometimes they are specific artists.
When completed, the finished lamp and shade can be disassembled and sent to your door, and we can likely figure out shipping anywhere, worldwide.
Building a customized vintage vinyl record lamp is a great deal of fun for me. I start by going to a second-hand store and finding a base. I can rebuild from a lot of different kinds of table or floor bases. I then design the lampshade, and it may or may not use a previously built design – I am open to a lot of exploration. I build the lamp and test it to be sure it works well and is stable and secure – then I disassemble for shipping. I offer worldwide shipping at the buyer’s expense: I will bring the lamp in and get a price before mailing…each one is unique, but it is always done for safety and cost efficiency. Custom orders are common, and I will do my best to fulfill every order in a very unique and personalized way.
I Design & Sell Vintage Vinyl Record Lamps
I sell a LOT of used records worldwide. However, there are many that are either not playable or not in demand anymore, so I was trying to figure out a good use for all of them. The lamps I have built are both functional and attractive – I find it is a great way to use either old, useless records or specifically selected ones to make a lamp that is unlike any other.
Selection
I have a lot of vintage records on-hand so if you want to make a specific lamp we can talk about it. If you want to use any that I choose randomly, it will reduce the cost.
Elvis and the Beatles
I have already made 2 Elvis lamps, but I can likely make a Beatles or Elvis lamp because I have so many records by them. Ask me what’s on hand!
Custom orders are common. Each lamp is unique, but some details can be selected on purpose.
Some folks are looking for a unique way to celebrate specific records, and a vintage vinyl record lamp is a perfect means to do it. Latest Work
For a customer in Chattanooga, I built a custom floor lamp using hand selected classic rock. Bob Seger, the Doors, the Beatles, and Elvis were chosen by the customer, and I found a sweet base for it. Came out great, and was a fun time hanging out together when he drove down and picked it up!
The Slipped Disc
I have made 4 of these so far, and I call them the Slipped Disc design. They all come out different, and are very challenging compared to the Beehive. Well worth it, every time!
The Beehive
The Beehive is my most popular design. It employs a 7 inch single on top and bottom, followed by a 10 inch then a 12 inch record. Typically uses 6 records in all, but can vary.

The Standard Vintage Vinyl Record Lamp
My “standard” lamp would be a Beehive design using 6 records: 2 each of 7 inch singles, 10 inch and 12 inch records. The base is selected by things I find at the second-hand store – though I can sometimes work with a lamp base provided for me. The completed shade is going to be 18 inches from bottom to top. Table models start at $135, floor models start at $150, and custom orders start at $160. Prices flex to customizations.
Once we decide on a price for your custom made vintage vinyl record lamp, it doesn’t change.
All delivery costs are the buyer’s responsibility, but I will get the most affordable and safe options anywhere.
